Allen and Young are simply the best removal service. They take a positive can-do attitude to the whole process of moving home. Packing, removals, storage, fitting furniture into impossible space- all of these done with care and skill. However stressful moving gets, they stay calm and find solutions.
We've used them three times and wouldn't go anywhere else. And on top of all that they are really nice guys and lots of fun.

Allen and Young saved our sanity on the move from Hell!
Our new home is on four stories and is in a very difficult location for access. Kelvin took the trouble to visit the site twice to figure out how his team were going to move us in. On the day itself we found that the previous occupants had not moved their belongings out of the ground floor. This meant we had to put about a third of our possessions into temporary storage. Kelvin found a storage solution for us at one hour’s notice on a Saturday. He then re-organised his teams and vans to split the loads so that one lot went to the storage location and the rest went to our new home. A few days later, when the previous occupant finally removed their belongings, Kelvin immediately arranged for the remainder of our possessions to be moved from storage into our home. None of our goods or the property itself were damaged despite the fact that everything had to be carried 50 metres outside before being moved up the narrow staircases inside. They took exceptional care and used special padded covers for the furniture. The team were incredibly good humoured and hard working throughout – I’m not sure how we would have coped without them given the circumstances we found ourselves in. Based on our previous move experiences they also charged a fair price for what I think is outstanding service. If and when we ever move from here they are the firm we will be using. Kelvin and your team: Just to say many thanks for your cheerful and efficient move today - not easy getting stuff down those stairs, and I appreciated your adaptability when asked to take a bit more than you had perhaps expected. You arrived just when you said you would, and it was all done very efficiently and carefully (I haven't seen anyone else bother to use a quilted jacket to protect the walls when getting a sofa down tight stairs.) Fair price too.

I am already recommending Allen and Young as they made my move run so smoothly. From the initial visit to give me the quote to the moving day, everyone was really helpful and organised. My old flat and new flat are both 2nd floor and there were no complaints about the endless steps they had to go up and down with all my boxes and furniture. I can categorically recommend Allen & Young for any moving requirement that you have.
The company is large enough to manage complex projects – including a crane to get furniture into my new home and tenacity to get a new roof garden fully into place. On the other hand, it is small enough that the principals take a personal interest in ensuring that the move is a success, including site visits to the destination location before the move and sensible suggested changes to the timing and process.
The company provided immense value and project managed machinery and equipment.

Allen and Young saved our move!
I contacted Allen and Young last minute and they could not have been more helpful, prepared, efficient and trust worthy. They were the only moving company that suggested we hire a crane to move our furniture (because of the moving location) - had we gone with another company and not hired a crane - the move would have never happened. They know their industry and how to make the moving experience stress free. They were methodical in packing, efficient in moving, price competitive, and overall a really nice group of guys. I know moving is not supposed to be fun, but we actually had a great time moving a two bedroom flat. I would highly recommend them.
